Apple Inc has agreed to pay up to $500 million to settle litigation accusing it of quietly slowing down older iPhones 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, and SE as it launched new models, it makes no other chance to iPhone owners to buy replacement phones or batteries.
Apple issued a replacement program for iPhone batteries. It also cut the replacement cost from $79 to $29 The programme expires on December 31, 2018.
A website launched to submit your claim of your $25 From Apple under some terms if you owned a covered iPhone before December 21st, 2017 and experienced a slowdown you can claim the settlement.
If you are or were a U.S. owner of an iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, and/or SE device that ran iOS 10.2.1 or later before December 21, 2017, and/or a U.S. owner of an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus device that ran iOS 11.2 or later before December 21, 2017, you could be entitled to benefits under a class action settlement.Apple Inc. Apple will make a minimum, non-reversionary payment of $310,000,000 and a maximum payment of up to $500,000,000, depending on the number of claims submitted.
The covered iPhone’s and operating systems are:
- iPhone 6 (iOS 10.2.1 or later)
- iPhone 6s (iOS 10.2.1 or later)
- iPhone 6s Plus (iOS 10.2.1 or later)
- iPhone SE (iOS 10.2.1 or later)
- iPhone 7 (iOS 11.2 or later)
- iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 11.2 or later)
You can submit a claim on the official settlement website Smartphoneperformancesettlement you can get up to $25 compensation. If you own multiple devices you have to submit a separate claim form for each device.

The information you provide must match the Apple ID associated with the eligible class device.
Download a paper Claim Form in which you will need to complete and mail to the Claims Administrator at the address on the form. Be sure to include any documentation you have with your Claim Form that supports your eligibility as a Class Member.
